Ripley was adopted from the shelter when a family fell in love with him; regrettably they were forced to relocate and only allowed one pet which meant he was last at this address, his family was very upset at having to give him up.Ripley would love a quiet permanent home with lots of love and care. He has a calm and gentle nature; he knows how to sit and shake hands; he is a little shy and does prefer the company of males with minimal time in a new home he would adapt to the company of women especially if they provide the food as he is very food orientated.. The dog walker said he thinks Bronson is the perfect dog to take for a walk; responsive but also focused on what is expected of him and obedient. He also added that Bronson is extremely engaging and open to instruction despite the noise and distraction of his surroundings and would easily settle and bloom away from the shelter environment in a very short time (he also said that if he was allowed another dog, Bronson would be the one he would chose before any other). He adores people; you will see a huge grin on his face, ears up and tail wagging as you approach him. As you speak to him you will notice that he focuses on you and just want the opportunity to show what an individual boy he is. He gets on well with some dogs but isn’t too keen on others so perhaps a home on his own to start until his owners get to know him. Kevin needs to be taught how to trust and love properly - and he is very capable of learning this in the right environment - he needs adequate daily exercise and then he will reach the full potential that he is so capable of as he is one beautiful dog. It will be tough at the start but he will be worth it, he is not aggressive towards people, he just needs some guidance to channel his enthusiasm properly. Kevin will initially be too strong for a family of young children. Kevin would prefer to be the only canine and he ignores some cats but then chases others so perhaps a household without cats is recommended or careful introduction could be considered. She is ok with some dogs but not others. She didn't seem bothered by cat's at the shelter. She is great with kids but at first does get a bit excited and likes to jump, she calms down pretty quickly though, she is best friends with my 2 year old. She was starting to get the hang of house training but we didn't quite get there. She is excellent on the lead, doesn't pull and will walk next to the pram with no problems. She has just recently started to understand the command "sit" she had no clue of basic training when we got her so this is a big thing for her. She loves a game of fetch and has also just started to bring the ball back and come when she is called.
