Luna is new into care and her profile will be updated shortly.
So far we know she is good with other dogs and must have another medium/large dog in the home (preferably husky). She can suffer from separation anxiety so needs a home to help her build confidence, and with someone home more often than not. She's also been a serial escape artist in the past so secure fencing is a must. 6ft +digproof minimum. She will need regular daily exercise and training. Our Foster Hero's will be working on Luna's basic training including toilet training and basic obedience until she goes to her knew home. She's coming along very well and is keen to learn. Luna's adopters will be enrolled in a weekly group obedience course, included in her adoption fee to help continue this training and help her settle into her new home.
Luna has grade 2 luxating patella in her left hind leg. This means no surgery is required at this stage, however she should not do excessive exercise, or be put in higher strain situations (eg no sledding). At this stage we've not had any issues with it so far during normal walking and play with other dogs but it does have the potential to pop out. In the future Luna may require pain relief, or surgery if the condition worsens.
