Male-1 year 2 months old-Siberian Husky
13 months old, surrendered to the pound due to no fault of his own.
Odin is dog friendly with other active, playful medium and large size dogs and will ideally go to a home with another dog for company. Not good with the small fluffies.
An ideal companion for Odin is another husky of similar age and energy level as he loves to play - husky style!
Mr Odin has energy to burn! Foster mum takes him running daily so his new home will need to be active. Odin does pull on the lead when walking but group obedience and further training will help Odin in this area, as well as helping to develop his basic training as it is clear he has not received much attention in the past. ARV will pay for Odin's new families enrolment in a parter training school upon adoption as we believe this is crucial to success with many young huskies.
Out and about Odin does get distracted so he needs to be kept on lead.
Around the home he is an affectionate boy who enjoys a smooch with his people and a snuggle with his foster sister.
As he has always lived with other dogs if he goes to a home without one it would be best if people were around a lot, and there will be some work to be done to teach him how to cope alone.
He needs an active and preferably breed experienced home who will be committed to him for the rest of his life, no matter what.
Like most young huskies Odin does have high prey drive and will need a home with 6ft secure digproof fences as well as a commitment to daily exercise and training.
Odin has not lived with children before.
