Mickey is a sweet boy who is quickly coming out of his shell. He has come a long way since coming into care four weeks ago. He has gone from being afraid of everyone to greeting anyone who walks through the gate! He comes when called and he never jumps up. He is still a bit unsure of putting on a harness and lead but is getting braver and braver every day. With a bit more practice he’ll soon be a pro!
Mickey thinks playing chasies with the cat is all good fun, but just in the last few weeks has made a huge improvement, watching the cats walk past instead of trying to start up a ‘game’! Even though Mickey is no longer frightened when approached, as he was when he first arrived at his foster home, he quite likes people – including children. He has even started asking for pats – especially from his foster dad! He even accepted pats from strangers on a walk this week! He ignores the chooks, sheep and horse that also live at his foster home.
He has loads of energy and just loves to play with his foster brother. He respects his place in the order and never steps out of line with his matriarch foster sister! He has had no barking, digging or whining issues. If you’re looking for a mate who, once you win his trust, is loyal and affectionate, Mickey just might be the one for you! Please apply today so he can have the pleasure of meeting you!
