Introducing our very special Mallie boy Orca who is 9 and a half years old. He is a calm and gentle soul who enjoys meeting new people and receiving cuddles.
Orca the gentle giant has a terminal illness - his first vet visit showed he likely has splenic haemangiosarcoma with spread (a type of cancer with no cure). He's due for a follow up confirmation in 2 weeks and if confirmed this gorgeous senior gentleman may only have 6-12 months to live.
We are looking for a very special foster carer or forever family who can offer Orca palliative care for the time that he has left. A family who will include him in their daily life, give him love, a safe home, support and creature comforts during this important stage of his life.
Despite his serious illness , Orca has shown how resilient he is by still wearing a happy smile and being friendly with people. He enjoys affection, is well-mannered and is still up for a calm, short daily stroll to check out his surroundings. He is OK with large, friendly female dogs and can be selective with males, and as with many Mallies he's best in a home without small, fluffy pets or little dogs.
If you can provide this lovely boy with a palliative care home then Orca would love to hear from you .
